GREEK HAREHOUND
The dog native Greece is very similar to the Yugoslav Balkan Hound. The southern border of Yugoslavia in northern Greece and form the western edge of the Balkan Peninsula. Both races had similar backgrounds or are actually two strains that have developed from the same ancient race.
Although locally renowned for his resonant voice and skilled nose, the dog is known only Greek at home. Formal breeding and showing dogs in Greece is limited, but this type of dog has been kept pure, because of their abilities. Used mainly in the rocky terrain so prevalent in his homeland, was shot separately, in pairs or in small packages.
