BLACK AND FIRE TERRIER

This breed’s ancestors are amongst the Manchester terrier and some variety of bloodhound and, due to successive crossings and selections programmed by English breeder, this miniaturized dog was achieved, since the XIX century has its own standard set.

PHYSICAL TRAITS of the BLACK AND FIRE TERRIER
It is an elegant and well proportioned animal that stands between 25 and 30 cm and weighs from 2.7 to 5.7 kg. Due to this small size it has been seen at the movies inside the main character’s pocket almost looking like a toy. There are other breeds, or breed varieties, that respond to this name for its special miniature traits. This dog has an elongated and narrow head; wedge sized and angled ears, implanted very high, that they must keep erect past the puppy stage. The eyes are very dark and shiny, small and almond shaped. It has dense, tight and shiny, intense black and fire fur. Whoever decides for this miniature breed has the advantages of having a dog apt for the city life, easy to care for and with an excellent temperament.

TEMPERAMENT AND ADAPTATION of the BLACK AND FIRE TERRIER
It is attentive, a little nervous and very fast. It is intelligent, lively and, at the same time, docile, for which it is a lovely pet, an adorable company dog that gives itself loyal and affectionate to the family, although it doesn’t trust strangers. Its adaptation to the city life is so complete and natural that it seems made to live in a flat.

EXERCISE AND CARE required for a BLACK AND FIRE TERRIER
It is a very easy terrier to care for since, despite its small size, is not a fragile animal and enjoys optimal health; its fur doesn’t require special attention either, just the minimum to keep it clean. To keep it in perfect physical form, two regular daily walks are recommended for any breed.
