Cardigan Welsh Corgi

The dogs of this breed have a very long body. This long body of the dog is also quite low to the ground. The top line of the dogs of this breed is very level in nature. The heads of the dogs of this breed are in such a way that the size of the head is in perfect proportion with the size of the rest of the body of the dog. The dog has the presence of a broad shaped head. This broad shaped head of the dog is also quite flat in nature. The skull of the dogs if this breed is rounded in nature and also kind of slightly tapering in nature. The muzzles of these dogs are such that it is perfectly parallel to the skull of the dog. This perfectly parallel muzzle comes to a moderate stop.

This muzzle tapers to form a nose. The nose of almost all dogs of this breed is black in color. Other than in the dogs that have a merle colored coat, in the case of these dogs, the noses are butterfly in color. The set of teeth of this dog usually tends to meet to form a scissor bite which is very powerful and also equally strong in nature. The rounded and slightly tapering head of the dog has ion it the presence of a pair of medium sized eyes. These medium sized eyes are set quite wide apart from each other.

The size of the eyes of these dogs may of medium sized in some and may be large sized in others. The eyes have an under lying rim which is dark due to heavy pigmentation. These wide set eyes are usually oval in shape. The color of these eyes is usually in shades of brown, they color themselves depending on the color of the coat of the dog. But in case of dogs that have the presence of a blue merle colored coat, they have blue colored eyes, either both the eyes of these dogs may be of a blue color or may be only one of the eyes of these dogs is blue in color. The pair of ears of the dogs belonging to this breed is usually erect in nature.

These erect ears are quite large in size that is, keeping it in perfect proportion with the size of the rest of the body and also with the size of the rest of the head of the dog. These ears are such a way that they are quite thick and wide at their respective bases but as they move up to the tip, they taper and the tips of the ears of these dogs are usually rounded in nature. The dogs of this breed have the presence of a very deep chest. The legs of these dogs are very short in size; they have the presence of a tail that is set quite low at the rear end of the dog.
