Zuchon

This is a type of breed of dog that is also known by the name Shichon. Like most dogs, it is not pure breed. It is a cross between the German hound, Bichon Frise and the Asian dog called Shih Tzu. Being a hybrid dog, it is not really easy to determine he temperament of it. However, a common method that has been proven to be successful checking that is by carefully scrutinizing the temperament of all of the dogs that were involved in the development of this breed, and then taking any combination of any of the characteristics of either of the dogs.

As mentioned elsewhere in this article, this breed of dogs is a mixed one and is a cross between Shih Tzu and Bichon Frise. This means that it does not have specific trait of either of the dogs; but rather a combination of characteristics from the parent dogs. In the recent few years, it has been a common thing to come across hybrids dogs perhaps because of the roles they play in the current trend of designer dogs. The cross breed type is becoming more popular because of the need to increase genetic vigor of the dog, by bringing the best qualities of either dog to converge in one individual dog. The resultant offspring is a more superior dog, which is much healthier and which has a better genetic constitution.

This dog measures between 8 to 11 inches and its weight is in the range of 9 to 16 pounds. It can be found in many different colors which include black and white, tan and cream and sometimes even silver or gray. The coat of the dog is soft and medium in length. It is also double coated and needs regular grooming to appear beautifully. The bird can be described as having good temperament, and is spunky, well mannered, generally eager to please, and vivacious.

These dogs can be trusted with children because of their gentle temperament as well as the fact that they are sometimes hypoallergenic.

These dogs need basic care such as the provision of correct amount of food, adequate training and exercise, and shelter to protect them from dangerous predators as well as other adverse health conditions.
