From this historical period ceramic figurine are still kept representing this dog.

In the standard variety as well as in the miniature, they are easy to train and adapt perfectly to a social life, in the first case mainly as a guard dog, and in the second as an ideal pet to keep its owners company.

The eyes are almond shaped, medium sized.

EXERCISE AND CARE required for a MEXICAN HAIRLESS DOG
There is a relation between this dog’s alopecia and its lack of teeth, which shouldn’t raise concern or interfere in its diet, which should be normal and balanced. Since it lacks fur, its hygiene care are minimized, it is enough to pass a moist rag through it every now and then. The miniature variety doesn’t need more exercise than daily hygiene walks, but the standard variety requires more movement to keep in shape.
