Miniature Schnauzer
These dogs are said to originate from Germany. These miniature dogs are the result of a crossing between the small Standard Schnauzers, the Affenpinscher and maybe even a poodle. These names get their names from the German word “Schnauze” meaning “muzzle”. In the olden days they were mainly used as ratter dogs, however nowadays their main purpose has shifted from being a ratter to being a companion dog. These dogs still have not lost their ability of being a ratter, they still retain it. These dogs have a lot of talents in them, some of them being hunting, ratter, watch dog, impressive obedience skills, performing tricks and also tracking.

Their tails are cropped but only to such a degree that their tails are visible over their back lines. These dogs are double coated animals. Their coat is trimmed in such a way that when looked at, they look like they have a bushy beard, eyebrows and a moustache as well. They are not one of those dogs that have a very yappy bark, their barks on the other hand are very low and sound like a carried out howl. They can be rather reserved when it comes to their strangers, that is, only if the humans surrounding it fail to provide stability in their lives, but generally these dogs love everyone.
