Mudi
The Mudi is a very rare breed of dog. These dogs were first seen in Hungary. This European breed is essentially a herding dog. These dogs are not very widely seen but are quite sought after. This dog is also known as the Hungarian Mudi. This breed of dog usually weighs anywhere between 8-13 kgs and is 38-48 cms tall. This breed of dog is not very large but has exceptional herding abilities. They have a thick coat that can withstand harsh climate. The Mudi is very agile and can reach great speeds while chasing away intruders. They have small triangular ears that are very sharp. The Mudi can usually sense any approaching danger and warn their master.
The Mudi dog has a rather pointed nose with a wedge shaped head. Their jaws are very muscular and close in a scissor bite. They have a convex skull with a nicely marked stop. Their eyes are usually dark brown and oval in shape. The face has an intelligent expression with expressive eyes. Lots of times the puppies are born without tails. Their backs are quite long and very straight. Their legs are rather wide set and very muscular. They have bristly hair on their ears with a rather short muzzle. The Mudi is a fairly furry dog. They have a curly and dense coat with glossy hair that is about 2 inches long. The coat is very easy to take care of. The coat is usually seen in an array of colors like red, black, white, gray, fallow and bread-pale.
The Mudi dog is truly a rare breed. This dog has a very well mannered with a good disposition that makes him a favorite. The few people that do happen to own a Mudi dog find his talent bank to be large a resourceful. This dog is by far one of the top canine breeds to own. The Mudi is a very courageous and fearless dog. They can take on wild boars and out power them with minutes. These dogs are very easily trained and learn their tasks with commendable speed and accuracy. They are very vigilant guard dogs. The Mudi is very lovable and affectionate towards his family. They are gentle with children and very loyal animals. They make wonderful companions and pets.
The Mudi dog is very weary of any stranger approaching and will not have a friendly disposition towards them. It is advisable to socialize the Mudi early own so that they will remain friendly to friends and family. They are very obedient and can be extremely playful as well. They are rather noisy dogs and need to learn not to bark without reason. These dogs are quite healthy with the exception of the occasional case of hip dyplasia. The Mudi dog can adjust to life in an apartment as long as they are given an ample amount of exercise. They will prefer a larger space to live in though. They will live for 13-14 years.
