Old English Bulldog


The Old English Bulldog is a very muscular animal. They are a bunch of medium sized dogs. These dogs are said to have a lot of strength, athleticism and stability. They are very well balanced and are very proportionate. They do not really have any specific feature that stands out or is exaggerated. These dogs were originally bred for the purpose of bull baiting and they still carry that look with them. They have a very prominent as well as a very dramatic head. The circumference of their heads is said to be almost equal to the height of the dog at their withers. They have very large cheeks. They have very well developed and also very powerful jaw muscles. They may have a little wrinkled forehead. They have quite a large head, but do not look too large as it is in perfect proportion when compared to their body. They have a narrow skull. They also have a domed forehead. Their muzzle is square is shape and is very wide and deep at the same time. There may be slight wrinkles on their muzzle.

The old English bulldog has an horizontally straight and an under shot bite. They have a pair of medium sized eyes. Their eyes are almond when it comes to their shape. They are set quite wide apart from each other. Their eyes are black in color and may have black pigmented eyes. They have very large canine teeth. It does not really matter if they have broken, chipped or extracted teeth, they are still acceptable. They have very wide nostrils. They have a line running from their between their nostrils reaching their lower lip, on the way passing their noses. They have a black colored nose. They have a pair or medium sized eras. These ears are set wide apart from each other on their wide skull. They are quite low set. They are rose, tulip or button in shape, however, rose shaped once are mostly preferred.

The old English bulldog has a neck that is medium in length. It is very wide and a little arched. Their elbows do not turn either in or out. Their legs are set quite far apart from each other. Their fore legs are medium boned and are in perfect proportion when compared with rest of the body. They have a very sturdy and a very powerful body. The length of their body is slightly larger when compared to the height of their body. They have a very wide and an equally muscular back. They have a very wide and a deep chest. This wide and deep chest of theirs is accompanied by a very muscular brisket. Their hind legs are very well muscled and when compared to the length of their fore legs, the length of their hind legs is slightly larger.

These dogs are very docile in nature. They have a very fierce look on their faces. They are very protective. They are also known to be very fearless. These dogs like to keep chewing on stuff.
