This dog has a very long sized body. This long sized body is such that it is very low to the ground. The dogs belonging o this breed have the presence of a very broad shaped head. This broad shaped head of the dog is usually flat in between the ears of the dog. The skulls usually tend to come to a rather moderate stop. The top line of the dogs belonging to this breed is much levelled in nature. The nose of the dogs of this breed is generally and usually black in color. The set of teeth of the dogs of this breed generally tend to meet to form a scissor bite which is very strong as well equally powerful in nature.

The broad shaped head of the dog has in it the presence of a pair of medium sized eyes. These medium sized eyes are oval in shape. The oval shaped and medium sized eyes of the dog are generally brown or different shade of brown in color, it depends on the color of the coat of the long sized dog. The eyes have the presence of an under lying rim that is black in color. The feet of this dg are usually oval in shape. The dewclaws are generally removed. It is highly possible that this dog can be born without the presence of a tail and if it is born with a tail then the tail is docked.

The dogs with the shortest tail or no tail at all are highly preferred. The dogs of this breed are double coated animals, that is, they have the presence of two different layers of clothes. The upper layer of coat is called as the upper coat or the outer coat and the layer coat that lies underneath this layer is called as the inner coat or the under coat. The double coat of the dogs of this breed is very thick in nature. The coat of the dogs of this breed is very short in size. The outer coat or the upper coat of the dog is very sores in nature and the inner coat or the under coat of the dog is weather resistant in nature.

The under coat is also longer in size when compared to the size of the upper coat. The coat of the dogs of this breed is generally red, fawn, sable or black in color. The coat can even be tan in color. The dog may or may not have the presence of white colored markings on the. These white markings are most often seen in places like the legs of the dog, the chest of the dog, the neck of the dog or even in various parts in the muzzle of the dog. The dogs of this breed have a very high level of intelligence. They are said to be very loyal dogs. They are also very active in nature. These dogs have an undying desire of pleasing their owners.
