The Prazsky Krysarik is rather small dog that was originated in Czech Republic. This dog is not noticed in any place outside their city of origin. These dogs are called the Prague Ratter in English. The Prague Ratter is a dog with very short haired coat. Their coats are sleek and shiny when maintained well. This Prague Ratter’s are known to be the smallest dogs in the world. This breed of dog does have quite a broad chest but their chest’s are far from deep. Their chests descend down towards their elbows. These dogs are very lean. They do not have much fat on their bodies. These dogs have a very thin layer of skin that covers their entire body. They will not do well in very warm temperatures.

The Prazsky Krysarik has an overall appearance of being a very delicate animal. Their features are quite large for a small dog. Their neck’s are of a medium length and is rather narrow. Their heads are very small as well. The neck is delicately built to hold up this breed’s small head. Their ears are quite large. They are pointed and triangular. Their ears do not fall naturally towards their face. Their ears are usually always pricked up. They have a fox like muzzle that is very narrow; much like the dog’s other features. This dog has a small mouth but rather crowded teeth inside. These dogs do not have much fur. Their coat is usually seen in either black or tan or a combination of both.

This dog is a miniature breed. They are very hyper active animals. These dogs are small but very fast. They are lively and alert animals that are a joy to have as pets. These dogs are quite noisy and will let everyone know when someone is approaching the house. This makes them quite good watch dogs. They are very warm and loving animals. They do not take very well to strangers and need to be socialized early on. They are very faithful to their masters and will not tolerate anyone trying to harm their families. This breed has a very heightened sense of smell. This feature makes them good hunters. These dogs were originally bred to hunt and kill rats.

This breed of dog is very sociable. These dogs love lots of attention and will get upset if not given enough of it. They are very obedient dogs and do not require much training. They need firm but gentle handling. These dogs stand at 19-22cms and weigh about 1-3 kgs. These dogs are quite prone to injuries because of their delicate structure. These dogs are intelligent and noble animals. They get along exceptionally well with children. These dogs are well suited for life in an apartment. They hate the cold and ten to shiver a lot. They will require some form of dog clothing to keep them warm in the winter. This breed of dog has a life expectancy of 12-14 years.
