These dogs are said to have originated from Korea. These dogs are a very shaggy breed of dogs. It is said that these dogs were considered to be the ones who have the ability to dispel all the evil spirits and ghosts and all its forms. These dogs are medium in size. The length of these dogs is slightly larger when compared to the height of these dogs. They have a very long as well as an equally abundant coat. They do not really have a specific coat color as such; their coat color may range from a large variety of colors. Their coat may be either in solid colors or in mixed colors. They may be solid black in color or may have a few other colors mixed with black.
They may be golden yellowish blonde in color or even reddish brown in color. They sometimes come in a brown colored cot and some other times in a salt and pepper grey colored coat. These dogs are quite similar to the old English sheep dogs in one way and that is the fact that their hair falls over there eye covering their eye completely. These dogs have an appearance similar to that of all the sheep dogs, however, these dogs were not bred for the purpose of being sheep dogs. They, on the other hand, were bred for the purpose of bind house dogs. Their work can be considered as more spiritual than it is physical.
These dogs are said to be very gentle in nature. These dogs also have the tendency to be very protective, especially of their family. These dogs are also said o be very loyal in nature as well. These dogs are a very friendly bunch of dogs. However, this friendliness is only with the people that these dogs are very familiar with. These dogs when it comes to other strangers lose this friendliness and tend to get very aggressive. These dogs are not at all fighters, they do not have fighting in their blood, and these dogs are quite the opposite and are very calm and peaceful by nature. However, they lose this character when they are attacked by others. When these dogs are attacked, it is safe to say that these dogs can get quite merciless.
They will not stop chasing the reason for the attack or the aggressor that attacked the dog in the first place unless they are ordered to do so by their owners or they run out of energy to run any more. However, they never attack anyone on their own and never start a fight on their own. These dogs, as they are friendly and calm, tend to do very good with children of all ages and types. However, they do not do so well with other animals those are smaller than themselves in size. These dogs are quite obedient and are there fore, quite easy to train. These dogs do not bark a lot and that loudly as they too enjoy peace.
