Schweizer Laufhund

These dogs are said to have originated from Switzerland. These dogs also go by another name in their native country, that is, the country of Switzerland. This other name of theirs is Swiss hound. These dogs when they are fed, bred, and taken care of properly and also when they are given their daily requited exercise will grow up to a height of a minimum of 18 inches to a maximum of 23 inches at their withers. This is both for the male dogs and the female dogs that belong to this breed. There is no differentiation among the two, male and female, when it comes to their weights and sizes that is when it comes or their size on the whole. These dogs on an approximation will weigh up to a maximum of 45 pounds and the minimum being 32 pounds.

These dogs generally and usually have a very short sized coat. Thos short sized coat of theirs is as thick as it is short. Their coat is very hard as well. These dogs may appear in a wide range of colors. They may be a combination of two colors, that is, a combination of the color white and the color orange. Or these dogs may come in a single color, like in a color of yellow. Sometimes however, they may have a marking here and there on their body of a different color, that is, they may be yellow in color but may have the presence of e few red colored markings here and there all over its body.

These dogs have a head that is rather medium in size. They also have a skull that is s lightly arched in nature. They have a pair of rather large sized eyes. These large sized pair of eyes is generally and usually dark when it comes to their color. They also have the presence of a long sized pair of ears. Their medium sized eyes also have the presence of a muzzle that is rather medium when it comes to their size. This medium sized muzzle is in such a way that it is in perfect proportion with the head of the dogs and also in proportion with the rest of the body of the dog. These dogs generally have a black colored nose; however, their nose color may range from quite a wide set of colors.

This is due to the fact that, the noses of these dogs are colored in such a way that they go with the color of the coat on the rest of their body. The set of teeth of these dogs usually tend to meet to form a strong and equally powerful scissor or sometimes even a level bite. These dogs have the presence of a neck that is very supple in nature and also, this supple neck is without the presence of any dewlap of any sort. The chests of these dogs are rather slender in nature. This slender chest reaches out to the elbows of these dogs. These dogs are quite light when it comes to the weight of these dogs. These dogs have the presence of quite lengthy and long legs. These lengthy as well as long legs are very well boned as well.
