Siberian Husky


The Siberian husky dogs were said to have been used as for long as many centuries by the Chukchi tribe, as the dog for the purpose pulling sleds. The Chukchi tribe were found in the eastern peninsular region of Siberia. The dogs of this breed were also used as the herd dog for reindeer and also as watch dogs. This dog is almost perfect for its use because they work extremely well and very efficiently in the most extreme of weather conditions and also is the roughest of terrains. They however, were best suited for the harsh conditions of Siberia, that is, the dogs are very hardy in nature. They have the ability of integrating into packs that are small in packs. They are also very hard workings and are very happy even if they are given loads of work to do for a long period of time without a break.

The dogs are said to have a lot of stamina stored in their body. They are also quite light weight in nature. As the name suggests, they are said to have originated from Siberia. The dogs of this breed are very talented, some of these talents of the dog are racing, sledding and carting as well. They were officially recognized as a breed by the American kennel club in the year of 1930. In this year, along with gaining recognition, proper standards for these dogs were set. The dogs of this breed are rather strong in nature. They are also extremely compact and also very hard working sled dogs. They have a head that is rather medium in size. This medium sized head of theirs is such that it is in perfect proportion hen compared to the medium sized body of the dog.

They have a muzzle that is equal in length when compared to the length of the skull. Their muzzle comes to a rather well defined, clear, abrupt and a soft stop. The noses of the dogs of this breed do not have any specific color as such; the noses of the dogs are colored according to the color of the coat of the dog. Some of the reported colors of the nose however are, black in dogs that have a coat of either gray color, tan color of black color. The noses are said to be liver colored in dogs that have a copper colored coat on their body. In the dog that have a perfectly pure white colored coat, the color of the noses are said to be flesh colored.

They have medium sized eyes. These medium sized eyes have a required amount of space in between of them. The eyes of the dogs of this breed are also rather oval when it comes to their shape. The color of the eyes may be blue color, brown color, amber color or it may sometimes be a combination of these colors, each in different proportions. The two eyes can also be of two different colors. Like the one eye may be colored blue, the other eye on the other hand may be colored brown.
