Siberian Tricolor Hound


The Siberian tricolor hound also goes by another name, the Yugoslavian tricolor hound. As the name would suggest, these dogs are said to have originated from the country of Yugoslavia. There are on the whole only three dogs that smooth coated hounds that originated in Yugoslavia. The Siberian tricolor hounds are one of these three dogs. The other two dogs are found to be the Siberian hound and the Siberian mountain hound. These are a bunch of medium sized dogs. They also have the presence of a head that is dolichocephalic in nature. They have a slightly rounded head. This rounded head comes to am imperceptible stop. Their muzzle is rather cuneiform in nature. The length of the muzzle is the dog is slightly smaller when compared to the length of the skull. Their muzzle generally tapering towards the nose of the dogs.

Their nose is usually black in color. They have a pair of thin lips that are close fitting in nature. These close fitting lips are usually black in color. The dogs of this breed have a pair of very strong and powerful jaw bones. The teeth on these jaw bones generally tend o meet to form a scissor bite. They have a pair of medium sized eyes. These medium sized eyes are almond shaped in nature. These almond shaped eyes have the presence of dark colored under lying rims. They have the presence of high set ears, that is, their ears are set quite high up on their heads.

Their ears are pendant shaped in nature. These ears are rather medium when it comes to their length. They are also quite thin in nature. The4se ears normally are left hanging down and they tend to hang down quite close to the head of the dog. The dogs have the presence of cheeks that are rather flat in nature. The dogs of this breed have a very strong and a powerful neck. This neck in slightly arched in nature. They have rectangular shaped body. The rectangular shaped body of the dog has a very straight top line. They have a very strong as well as an equally well muscled back and also these dogs have the presence of very well pronounced withers.

They have a very strong chest which along with being strong is equally deep as well. The bellies of these dogs are slightly tucked up in nature. The tails of the dogs of this breed are said to be very thick and strong at the bases, however, they are also said to taper very progressively till the tip of the tails. This tail is usually carried in slightly curved in an upward direction; however, they are never carried up over the top line of the back of the dog. They have very strong forequarters and are also parallel to each other. The shoulders of these dogs are very strong. They have a very elastic skin which is also very well pigmented in nature. They are double coated animals with a very well developed under coat.
