Small Greek Domestic Dog

As the name suggests, this dog is said to have originated from the country of Greece. This dog is also called as the Meliteo Kinidio. This dog has a very high level of intelligence. The intelligence that this dog has will probably come to the owner of the dog and to the family of the dog as quite a shock. They are also very affectionate and they are also very social dogs by nature. The exact origin and the development of this dog however are not clearly known. It is believed that this dog has descended from the ancient breed of Alopekis. As the name suggests, this dog is a family dog, used for the purpose of being a companion dog. These dogs can provide both entertainment as well as companionship. This dog even though it has gained a lot of popularity as a companion dog, this popularity is only in its native country of Greece and remains very rare outside to Greece.

This dog has a very friendly nature. Along with being very friendly, this dog is also very outgoing in its nature. This Greek small domestic dog is very sweet and a spunky breed of dog. It has a lot of character in it. These dogs love to have a relationship. That is, they thrive on having a very strong and a meaning full relationship. They depend very highly on humans. They love to be the centre of attraction. They love to have the lime light on them. They will do anything for this attention from its family members and thus it is quite easy to train them to do little small tricks here and there.

They have a very high level of intelligence as mentioned earlier and thus are very easy to train. The dogs of this breed also love to play around. These dogs are very highly obedient. They are very loyal as well. Along with being very obedient and also very loyal in nature, these dogs are also very loving and very affectionate in nature. They are best suited for an apartment lifer and lobe to be indoors and hate the outdoors. This dog is a relatively clean dog and does not like to get dirty and thus always prefers to stay in doors rather than going out doors. If put out doors, this dog loves to play the game of fetch and also enjoys taking long and leisure walks.

This dog is a rather medium sized dog. When this dog is taken care of properly and given proper food and required amount of daily exercise, this dog can weigh in at about 20 pounds to 25 pounds. The dogs’ of this breed have a rather dropped pair of ears. They have quite a long sized body. This long sized body is rather short and also very snout in nature. They have the presence of a long tail that is usually kept in a curved up position. They have a very good quality coat and should be kept groomed properly. This dog holds its tail up high. Its tail is always wagging and this shows that this dog is happy almost all the times.
