Taigan

This dog also goes by another name, that is, kyrgyzskaya borzaya taigan. This breed has sight hound dogs. They were said to have originated from Kyrgyzstan. These dogs are yet to be recognized by the FCI. These dogs have the presence of a medium length coat. This medium length of the coat is slightly curly in nature. They have a coat quite similar to the coat of the grey hound. These dogs as they are sight hound dogs form a part of the sight hound family. The dogs of this breed were developed primarily for the purpose of hunting and especially for the purpose of hunting in very rugged as well as steep kind of extreme terrains. They were usually found hunting along the Russia and the Chinese border.

Some of the land in this border region is said to be as high as 7000 feet from the sea level and the dogs were found hunting at such rough terrain as well. The dogs of this breed are not at all recognized by the areas outside to its native, however it was found quite commonly in its native land. It was due to the progress in their native land that made them nearly extinct and the rest of the world never got the chance to experience this wonderful hunting dog. These dogs are very lovely as well as very beautiful dogs. These dogs love to lead the chase that they are on. These dogs are also said to have a lot of affection towards its master which can only be defined as undying in nature.

These dogs have a lot of features and characteristics that are unique to only this breed of dogs and that is why it is important to keep this dog out of extinction. The ideal height of this dog when it is taken care of properly and is grown into a healthy fully grown adult and is given proper food and exercise, is a minimum of 22 inches and a maximum of 28 inches. The dogs of this breed are double coated in nature, that is, they have the presence of two ,layers of coats, the upper layer called as the outer layer or the upper layer and the layer lying below this is called as inner layer or the under layer. It can be seen that the number of feathers on the ears of his dog is much more than the number of feathers on the rest of the body of the dog.

The amount of feather on other parts of its body such as its shoulders, its thighs and its tail when compared to the amount of feathers on the rest of the body is more. This dogs is slightly larger than medium in its size. They usually come in either completely black color or black with white markings here and there. They also come in other colors like brown, grey and yellow as well, although they are rather rare in nature. Their coat is very soft in nature. It is also long and quite thick in nature along with being soft.
