The length of the head of the dog and the length of the neck of the dog should be rather equal and in proportion to each other and also in proportion with the size and length of the rest of the body. The tail of the dogs of this breed is usually preferably docked. The dogs of this breed have the presence of a rather medium sized head and are in perfect proportion with the size of the body of the dog. This proportionate and the medium sized head is also slightly arched in nature. This arch in the bead is found in between the ears of the head. If the dog has the presence of a head that is either apple shaped in nature or of it is domed in nature than that dog becomes undesirable in nature.
When this dog is being viewed from the front direction and from the sideways direction, the head of the dog looks like a wedge and also it looks like the head is well filed in the area under the eyes of the dog. The dogs of this bred also have the presence of a black colored nose. Unless the coat of the dog is of liver color, then the dog will have a liver colored nose. The muzzles of the dogs of this breed should necessarily be strong in nature. The dogs have the presence of a pair of eyes that are not that large in size, they are neither round in nature nor are they protruding in nature. The pair of eyes of the dog on the other hand is slightly oval shaped in nature.
The oval shaped eyes are colored as dark as possible and these oval and darkly colored eyes carry a very keen expression in the. The under lying eye rims are very darkly pigmented in nature. Light colored eye and wall eyes are very strongly discouraged. The dogs belonging to this breed have the presence of a pair of ears that are v shaped in nature. These v shaped ears are set quite high up on the heads of the dog. The high set and the v shaped ears also have the presence of rounded tips and they are usually held either erect or semi erect in nature.
If the ears are held semi erect, then the top third part of the ear tends to bend in the forward direction. The length of each ear should be roughly or approximately equal to the distance between the 2 ears. The pair of ears has a very thin texture. These dogs have the presence of a pair of very strong jaw bones. They have the presence of the full set of teeth. The upper jaw and the lower jaw usually tend to meet to form a scissor bite. The necks of the dogs are very strong in nature. The dogs have a very short and an equally compact body. This dog is not a heavily muscled dog. They have very strong and also equally powerful thighs.
