This dog is quite a large dog. The dogs of this breed are also very athletic in nature. They are very efficient working dogs. The dogs of this breed have the presence of a rather medium sized head. This medium sized head of the dog comes to stop which is rather medium sized as well. The dogs also have the presence of a medial line that tends to run down from the fore head of the dog. They have the presence of a nose that is generally grey in color. The set of teeth of the dogs of the breed usually tend to meet to form a scissor bite. The medium sized head of the dog, in it, has the presence of a pair of eyes that are set quite wide apart from each other.
These wide set eyes usually come in colors like grey, blue grey or shades of amber. The medium sized head of the dog also has the presence of a pair of ears. These ears rare high set, that is, they are set quite high up on the head of the dog. These high set ears are rather long in size as well. They are pendant shaped in nature. These long, high set and pendant shaped ears are held such a way that they fold in the forward direction and are usually hanging down close to the cheeks of the dog. The dogs of this breed also have the presence of a pair of front feet that are just extremely straight in nature.
The feet of the dog are generally webbed in nature. This webbed foot helps them swim better. The webbed feet are also quite compact in nature. The toe nails of the feet of the dog are usually grey in color. They might also sometimes be amber in color. The tails of the dogs of this breed are generally docked at a very early age, that is, they are docked just when the dogs of this breed are 2 days old. The declaws of the feet are also generally removed. The top line of the dog is such that it slightly tends to slope in the down ward direction, starting from the shoulder of the dog and ending at the rump of the dog.
They have the presence of a very short coat. The coat of the dogs along with being short is also very smooth in nature. The coat is very tight in nature and is very close to the body of the dog. The coat color may be anywhere between the colors mouse grey and silver gray. Whatever color the coat has, the color is a darker shade in the body of the dog and is a lighter shade in the head of the dog and also in the ears of the dog. The dogs may sometimes have the presence of a small white colored patch on the chest of the dog. These dogs are very happy dogs. They are also very lively in nature.
