White Shepherd Dog

This dog looks very similar to the German shepherd. The two breeds are quite the same other than the difference in the color of the white American shepherd. The coat of this dog is is quite stiff and is also quite long in size and usually the dogs that have a long haired coat do not have the presence of two layers of coat, that is, in these dogs, the under coat in missing and also, as the name suggests, these dogs are perfectly white in color. The dogs belonging to this breed are said to be of a very courageous nature. They are very keen and are also very alert all the time. These dogs are not known to let their guard down even for e second, especially when they are on their job of herding animals.

They are quite fearless dogs. They are very cheerful in nature. They are very obedient and also very eager in learning new things, and thus this makes them very easy to train. They are very clever dogs and also have a rather serious nature. They are said to be tranquil and confident by nature. They are very faithful to their owners and tend to get very protective. They get protective to such an extent that they are quite willing to sacrifice their lives for the protection of its family members. They are very quick learners. They are very attached to their family members and love to be around them. The dogs of this breed get very suspicious of strangers and are reserved around them.

This dog should never be left in such a condition where it is separated from its family and left in isolation for a very long period of time. The dogs are not barkers and will do so only when they feel it is very important. These dogs are often seen working with the police; this is due to the fact that the dogs of this breed have a very strong and a very powerful protective instinct. They are very loyal to the ones handling them. These dogs need to be socialized well from their puppyhood itself. If the dogs of this breeding are handled and trained in a very poor manner than the dogs will definitely attack the people around it due to aggression attacks.

The handler of the dog will face a lot of problems if he lets the dog believe that the dog is the pack leader and also if he does not give the dog enough amount of daily exercise for both its physical health and also for its mental health. When the dog is stable and is trained and handles properly from an early stage itself, the dogs tend to get along very well with children. It should however be kept in mind that the handler or the owner of the dog should make it clear to the dog that he has the upper hand, but should do so in a calm way. If the dog sensed even a little bit that it has a stronger mind than the owner than it will definitely not listen to the owner.
